Well, we can officially check another holiday tradition off our list tonight... we got our Christmas tree! One of my favorite outings of the year, where we all bundle up (read: just make sure everyone has shoes on), head to our local tree lot, and find that perfect tree. We walk around in circles no less than 4 times to make sure we’ve inspected them all, put every potential choice through a series of smell checks and “green levels” (it’s really a very scientific process, trust me!) And eventually, well eventually we choose what we believe is the best one. Sometimes we decide on a huge fluffy fir, sometimes we go full Charlie Brown tree; but every year as we decorate our #1 pick (while listening to the Beach Boys Christmas album, of course!), it’s a magical experience and one of my very favorites of the year.
